This class is intended for healthcare professionals required to respond to cardiac emergencies who had a certification in the past, and need to renew. All students enrolled must have an unexpired card, but there is a one-month grace period between card expiration and new validation date. To renew the 2015 AHA ACLS Provider Manual is required for study and can be purchased during the enrollment process. Students must also have an understanding of rhythms, pharmacology and algorithms related to ACLS, as they will be evaluated performing a MegaCode at the end of the course.Upon completion of the class, students will receive an AHA ACLS card that is valid for two years.
Other Required Course Preparation:
Visit the AHA ACLS Student Website (use the password provided to you upon registration) and complete the following:
- Email a copy or scan of your current unexpired ACLS provider card to email@example.com.
- Complete the Pre-Course Assessment. Students must receive a score of 70% or higher, and bring printed test results to class. Students who do not have their test with them will not be eligible to take the class.
- Study the supplementary material and review the additional 4 videos on the AHA ACLS Student website as needed
