This American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) course is for healthcare professionals required to respond to cardiac emergencies, such as physicians, nurses, and paramedics, as well as others who need an ACLS course completion card for job or other requirements.
The course module includes:
- Recognition and Management of Cardiac and Respiratory Arrest
- Stroke and ACS Management
- Team Dynamics
Before enrolling in the course students must complete the ACLS Pre-Course Assessment. Students must receive a score of 70% or higher, and bring printed test results to class. Students who do not have their test with them will not be eligible to take the class. Students must also have an understanding of rhythms and pharmacology related to ACLS, as they will be evaluated performing a MegaCode at the end of the course. Upon completion of the class, students will receive an AHA ACLS card that is valid for two years.
